Solaar Global Ventures is a multi-faceted investment portfolio specializing in tourism assets in Cyprus. Assets include the Mercure Larnaca Beach Resort, the upcoming Mercure City Center, and the Solaar short term residential buildings within the Larnaca district. Solaar Hospitality, a subsidiary of Solaar Global Ventures manages all facets of the hospitality assets, including food & beverage outlets, spas, cleaning and laundry et al.
A niche project offset from the hospitality sector is Hot Soap Studios, rated one of the Top Recording Studios in Europe. Hot Soap Studios doubles as the group's live entertainment source, servicing events within the group and beyond.
One of the more recent projects is Oroppa Co., which specializes in both software as a service solution, as well as duty free storage & relaying, catered for by one of the largest duty-free zone warehouses in the region, located at Queen Alia International Airport.

Founder of Solaar Global Ventures, and steerer of the ship. A man of tremendous successes in the pharmaceutical sector within the MENA region, Dr. Rajai has now broadened the group horizons into the investment management and hospitality sector within the European continent.

Our Story
What began as a vision to create a small parallel operation between the MENA and Europe has now become a key portfolio in the Khoury Group asset bank. Cyprus, an hour flight from the MENA, served as a stepping stone into the Europe market, and one of the first projects of ambition included the construction of a sea-front 60 bedroom hotel on the Larnaca coastline, which has now become the Mercure Larnaca Beach Resort, the first ACCOR franchise hotel of its kind on the island.
Solaar GV now holds a few key assets including the Mercure Larnaka City, one of the top recording studios in Europe, Hot Soap Studios, a few short term residential buildings, as well as a heritage property (formerly the early 1900s British Embassy) which is set to become a landmark boutique project.

General Manager - Solaar Hospitality
Andreas Sofocleous
Andreas is a seasoned hospitality professional with 25 years in the sector. Having amassed years of experience after starting his career in Johannesburg, he has worked in the UK, UAE and Europe. Andreas has moved back to the tourism centric island of Cyprus and now is the general manager at Accor Mercure Larnaka Beach Resort & the Solaar Hospitality Group.

Frances Georgiou
Frances Georgiou is our Internal Audit Manager. She is a member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus and The Cyprus Institute of Internal Auditors. Frances is a former Big Four accounting firm employee with a broad range of knowledge and experience in various industries.

Lydia Georgiadou
Lydia Georgiadou is our Group Accountant. After completing her education, she embarked on a diverse career that spanned various STEM domains. But her flair for numbers led her to pursue accounting positions where she honed and expanded her bookkeeping skills for a variety of business profiles.

Leoni Demetriou is our Executive Assistant and Office Manager with over 25 years of experience. She assists the Team with a diverse range of responsibilities including administrative, accounting and corporate related matters.
